Finally Fall and a Few of My Own....

It feels like an eternity since I shot anything for myself and blogged anything for myself.  I've missed my photog walks.  The weather here has been so horrrid, dry and crackly dead that I have been rather amiss in my desire to even enter the abyss know as "Texas Summer".

We have finally gotten some drenching, refreshing rain and along with it, some glorious temps!  It's finally fall :D

One of my favorite things about this time of year is our local pumpkin patch, "Sweet Berry Farm".  This is a simply glorious place to do family photos.  In the fall, they have beautiful patches of zinnias to pick, pumpkins to buy and paint, haystacks and goats, and the fav.... face painting!  My daughter enjoys this job and does a fabulous job.  She and the other facepainters she works with get to paint each other to show off their talents to the hundreds of parents and children that visit.

I blogged about one of my all time favorite designs Hannah showed up with one year, here.  Today she came home with some asian symbols and I just had to take some pics :)  Finally!  I shot something for me and actually blogged it the same day!!!  Shock of all shocks, I know.  It sure feels good :D

Memories, Prioritized....

It's been a busy week for me.  We've painted a plane (3x?), cleaned a house (2x), schooled children (3) slept some and went to the Burnet Air Show ~ Bluebonnet Festival.  We've lived here for over 10yrs and have never been before.  My bad :(

We finally decided to go.  Unfortunately, both Hannah and Greg had to work :(  So, that left me, Em and Andrew.  Em and Casey (Em's friend, Austin's sister) wanted to spend time at the carnival so midway into our day, we left the airshow, went to the carnival, and flew back (harharhar) in time to see the A-10 take center stage.

Andrew wasn't too keen on spending his day with a bunch of girls so Austin sweetly took him under his wing (can't help it *cheesy grin*) and they stayed behind with Austin's family and a friend.

I have so many images (took over 460 total!).  While toying with which ones to blog, I came across this one of my girl and it said it all.

This is why I brave dust storms, dead grass flying into my eyes, the heat of the day blasting down on my back, sweat dripping down my.... Um, a sunburn in spite of sunscreen, blisters on my feet... This is why I make the choices I make in my life.  Hopefully, they are good ones.

I hope my kids know how VERY much I love them!

Notice the dirt all over her face near her eyes... I wasn't exaggerating!

Ok, so I promised to show you more of my niece and daughter :)

We went to Austin to shop and grab a few shots of Nasya (adding to her senior pics).  One of our FAV stores is called, "Arty" (sorry no link).  We thrill over the stunning fashions, bling-a-licious bags, rings, tanks, purses, shoes..... Always a glorious place to visit in Cedar Park.  We did go to a few other places but those are being saved for another time, surprise!

I have been having sooooo much fun playing with my new actions!  Let me know what you think.... I put up several of the same shot with different styles of processing ♥

Thanks was given, we are blessed!

We had a wonderful holiday! We got to visit my sister and hang out with her family :)  With enough food to kill an elephant, yet I survived, hmmm.  I did sorta work it off though.  I took my eldest daughter and niece out for BLACK FRIDAY! We actually started at 9pm at Toys R Us and ended, pooped out at the house at 6am! The girls said they wanted to experience what it was all about. They experienced it all right, lol!

We had AMAZING fun, even with the drizzle, then sleet, then more drizzle outside of Kohl's :D Found lots of great bargains and have quite a bit of shopping finished. I'm paying a small price, the snuffles and sniffles abound in my nasal cavity but a small price none-the-less.

Now on to plan the family vacation...... God has answered my prayer. Hannah and I (and the others too) have dreamed of heading to Maryland to visit my brother. Our kids haven't seen each other for 7yrs :( We didn't know how but knew God would bless us some way and answer this prayer. He has :) My hubby is willing to take 2wks off (second vacation since starting the pest biz almost 9yrs ago) and we are DRIVING to Maryland! We will see NY and hoping to see my other nieces in NJ, Aunt from Boston and cousin (with new ADORABLE baby Sam) in Rhode Island.

PRAISE and thanksgiving be to God, my heavenly Father who wants to give good gifts to His children :D
